Pet Star Recycling stands out as an innovative leader in the recycling industry in Romania and the Balkans region. With an approach fully integrated into the “Bottle-to-Bottle” concept, the company transforms PET bottle waste into new PET preforms suitable for food contact.
Mirela Drăgoi, CEO & Co-Founder of the PetStar group, states: “We are proud to recycle over 25% of the total quantity collected by the Deposit-Return System (RetuRO SGR) in 2024.”
The company is planning an additional investment of €15 million to expand processing capacity, with the goal of transforming Romania into a regional centre for high-quality PET recycling, with a total processing capacity exceeding 50,000 tonnes annually.
This expansion will generate over 80 new green jobs.
